Australia’s very own princess – Pacific Princess – has launched her biggest season of South Pacific and New Zealand cruising in response to popular demand from her followers.
The new 2005-06 Pacific Princess brochure released this month by P&O Cruises details 15 cruises sailing from Sydney between November 2005 and April 2006, including three voyages around New Zealand and three visits to Fiji.
Renowned for her superb cuisine, stylish décor and ample balcony cabins, the 670-passenger Pacific Princess will tie up at a record 32 ports from November 2005 to April 2006, including three new destinations – Wellington and Napier in New Zealand and Ouvea in the Loyalty Islands.
P&O Cruises Managing Director Gavin Smith said the company had decided to offer more New Zealand cruise options, following overwhelming demand for Pacific Princess’ maiden New Zealand cruise in early 2005.
“Pacific Princess will also visit Fiji three times as part of its ever-popular South Pacific itineraries, as well as New Caledonia, Vanuatu and the stunning new port of Ouvea, described by many as the most beautiful island in our region.”
Passengers will also have a chance to explore the north and south of Australia from a different perspective as Pacific Princess cruises twice to Queensland and once to Tasmania.
The most elegant ship in the P&O Cruises Australia fleet, Pacific Princess boasts 69 per cent of cabins with private balconies.
She has won a loyal following amongst cruise fans since her debut here in 2002, and rates exceptionally high in customer satisfaction surveys, with 98 per cent of passengers reporting Pacific Princess had met or exceeded their expectations.
“It is programs such as this 2005/06 schedule which complete the Pacific Princess experience,” Mr Smith said.
“Pacific Princess offers her passengers the chance to enjoy superb dining, service and facilities onboard while they sail to some of the best destinations in the South Pacific, Australia and New Zealand.”
Pacific Princess’ restaurants include the acclaimed Sabatini’s Italian Restaurant and Sterling Steak House. While passengers looking for relaxation and rejuvenation can head to the luxurious Lotus Spa, and those wanting entertainment and activity can choose from eight bars and lounges, cabaret shows, casino, swimming pool, two jacuzzis and a gym.
