Olympia - the ancient home of the Olympics featured in this year’s Athens Games - will be a highlight of Princess Cruises’ line-up of luxury cruises through Europe next year.
A sister line to P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises is offering 34 sailings through Europe between May and September 2005 aboard three identical megaliners, Golden Princess, Grand Princess and Star Princess. Star Princess is well known to Australians after spending three months cruising our waters last summer.
Each of the 109,000-ton ships is a huge floating resort with four pools, nine restaurants and cafes, wedding chapel and a glass-walled nightclub suspended 15 storeys above the sea.
Passengers need only unpack once before settling back to enjoy their journey to some of Europe’s most magical cities, without the hassles of air and train travel or the concerns of car hire.
The ships’ itineraries, some featuring up to 11 ports in five European countries, are detailed in P&O Cruises Australia’s latest Europe cruise brochure, now available through travel agents.
Grand Princess will sail on 12-night cruises through the Mediterranean, visiting dream destinations such as Olympia, Venice, Rome, Florence, Monte Carlo, Mykonos and Istanbul. Star Princess will offer 10-night voyages to Russia and Scandinavia including St Petersburg, Oslo, and Copenhagen. Meanwhile, Golden Princess will sail through western Europe on 10-night voyages featuring Dublin, Bergen, Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris.
Ten-night Europe voyages with Princess Cruises in 2005 are available from A$2233 per person (complete twin cabin). Air and hotel packages are also available. Conditions apply. See a travel agent, call P&O Cruises on 132 469 or visit www.pocruises.com.au
