Docking / Disembarkation 

Your P&O ship will berth at Princess Royal Harbour.

Taxis 

Taxis are available pierside and the town is within short walking distance from the pier. A free shuttle service will operate from the ship to the Albany Visitor’s Centre and the centre of town.

Shopping 

York Street is the main street in town and is lined with shops, historic buildings and parks. Items found here include clothing and wool garments, Aboriginal art and artifacts, and various types of woodwork.
There is also the Albany Museum gift shop which carries Australian souvenirs, including postcards, books, tea towels and marine items.

Dining 

A variety of cafes and restaurants can be found on York Street, the main street of Albany.

Climate 

Albany itself is sheltered by King George Sound and enjoys a cool temperate climate and clear blue skies for most of the year. Summer temperatures reach approximately 27ºC during the day; in winter around 18ºC.

What To Wear Ashore 

To make your day ashore as enjoyable as possible, please ensure that you wear comfortable flat soled shoes and a hat, and bring along some sunscreen and bottled water.
