Discover Brisbane Holidays

Brisbane holidays are characterised by the city’s exotic recreation spots and the irresistible riversides. Take a cruise (or try canoeing or kayaking) and explore the many restaurants and cafes along the Brisbane River. The downtown beach area, the South Bank Parklands offer plenty of grassy picnic areas and a sandy beach.
For a cultural experience, head straight to the Queensland Art Gallery or the Gallery of Modern Art. The Mount Coot-tha Botanic Gardens offer an array of subtropical and Australian flora. For shopping, entertainment and dining, the Queen Street Mall offers plenty of boutique stores, cafes and a free performance stage.

Dining
Fine cuisine and gourmet delights are some of the exceptional qualities of Brisbane’s restaurants, mostly in the heart of the city. Being a large city the cultural diversity is large enough to satisfy most restaurant goers with an abundance of food choices.
Climate
Brisbane is Australia's sunniest capital city. While the city's climate is quite mild the whole year round, people used to tropical temperatures will find its winter cold (7ºC to 20°C in July). In summer, which becomes quite hot and humid (21ºC to 29ºC with high humidity in January), lightweight clothing and natural fibres are most comfortable.

Major credit cards and charge cards are widely accepted. Automatic teller machines provide currency to foreign card holders.
Telephones International and Local
Public telephones are available throughout the city.
What To Wear Ashore
