We are seeking those special people who make our communities tick. Those Unsung Heroes who give up their time and energy to make other peoples' lives better, without expectation of any reward.
In searching for our Community Heroes, the judges will be basing their selection on some or all of the following criteria.
Benefits to a particular group: the Nominee whose efforts have had the greatest impact on the group or groups they have chosen to support.
- Benefits to the community at large: the Nominee whose efforts have most significantly benefited the community in which they live.
- Inspiration: the Nominee whose activities have most inspired others to contribute.
- Innovation: the Nominee whose activities best demonstrate initiative and a fresh approach.
- Special circumstances: the Nominee who has overcome difficulties of their own in order to contribute to the welfare of others.
- Length of service to the community.
Nominees must be 18 years or over and reside in one of the following regions of NSW: Central Coast, Newcastle/Hunter, North West Region, Mid North Coast or Far North Coast.
