Docking / Disembarkation 

Your P&O ship docks at the Passenger Terminal in Fremantle.


Taxis are available pier-side and the town is within walking distance. A complimentary shuttle service operating around the city of Fremantle departs from outside the Cheviot Hotel on Beach Street, a short walking distance from the ship.


The main shopping areas of are along Terrace and Henderson Streets and Cappuccino Strip, located approximately one mile from the pier. Shops are generally open 7 days a week.


Fremantle oozes heritage and cosmopolitan culture. The streets buzz with shoppers and coffee lovers. There are a vast array of pizza and pasta restaurants. Be sure to sample the scrumptious fish and chips. Some of the state’s most popular seafood restaurants and cafes are found around Fishing Boat Harbour.


Fremantle lies in Australia’s southern temperate zone and as such enjoys pleasant weather for most of the year. It is in fact a typical Mediterranean climate, i.e. winter rains and summer drought. This is the simplest place on the planet to be a weather forecaster and they usually can get it right four or five days ahead of time.


Tipping is not customary for service, but is frequently offered at the client's discretion in appreciation of good service. As a guide you can leave a 10% tip in restaurants if you choose.
