Rainforest Walk
Located in the dense, bush-clad mountains behind Suva, Forest Park is where Suva’s nature is at its best. The lush, tropical rainforest is interrupted only by the walking paths that weave their way through the park. Enjoy a guided walk along the mountainous paths to reach the lower pools at the base of a cascading waterfall. Some time is allowed to swim in the fresh water pools before the trek resumes through the forest. At the end of the trek, transfer a short distance to the Raintree Lodge. The lodge, built on the edge of a man-made forest lake, provides a lovely natural ambiance in which to relax and learn about the local flora and fauna.

Points of Interest

Rainforest walk through Forest Park and Raintree Lodge.

Rain is a regular occurrence in Suva and, at times, can be heavy. Please bring along a waterproof camera or alternatively place your camera in a plastic bag.

Special Notes

Dependant on rainfall, shallow stream crossings are likely, as is mud underfoot. Wear sturdy footwear and bring along a change of dry clothing, swimwear, a towel, raincoat and umbrella in case of rain. Local buses are used for transportation. These buses are very basic and have no air-conditioning.
