Uluwatu Temple & the Bukit Peninsular

Begin the tour with a short drive to Sanur, where guests can enjoy breakfast in Fairmont Hotel. You will have free time to walk along the local market or beachfront area, which is great for photographers, and grab a few bargains before heading off. The tour then proceeds to the southernmost part of the island where the temple of Uluwatu stands high on top of a cliff top overlooking the ocean. The cheekiest inhabitants here are a group of macaque monkeys, whose antics will keep guests enthralled. This temple is among the top six most important temples in Bali and is held sacred by locals. A few minutes’ drive away is a ceramic house, producing stunning pieces for both the domestic and export market. There is time to browse and purchase the finish product. After working up an appetite, guests head to Jimbaran Bay, where hundreds of fishing boats take to the water every evening. The views of this bay are simply stunning and it is here that guests enjoy a sumptuous seafood BBQ lunch. En route to port, there is a final stop made at Kuta, the tourist Mecca of Bali. It is here that there are plenty of market stalls and shops, selling all manner of goods from t-shirts to handbags to tattoos! There is time for guests to grab a bargain before returning to port.
