Put on your walking shoes and get ready for a half-day adventure with Josh Whiteland, a member of the Wardandi tribe, one of the region’s original 14 Aboriginal tribes. After arriving, you’ll be greeted with a traditional welcome ceremony followed by a bushwalk to Ngilgi Cave. For Indigenous Australians, the land is the core of all spirituality and Ngilgi Cave is no exception. According to legend, the cave is named after a good spirit named Ngilgi who triumphed over an evil spirit named Wolgine. Sitting among stunning wonderland of stalactite and stalagmite formations, you’ll hear Aboriginal legends, such as the Dreamtime stories accompanied by the melodic sounds of the didgeridoo. After the performance, you’ll walk to the Meeting Place and witness traditional fire making and tool making. Then, you’ll walk back to your coach for the relaxing drive back to your ship.
