What To See

The West Australian Museum, Geraldton

The stretch of coastline along which Geraldton sits is known as the Batavia Coast. The West Australian Museum is a great place to learn more about this beautiful area, named after the Dutch East India company flagship "Batavia", which ran aground on the Abrolhos Islands on June 4, 1629. The mutiny that followed is now a part of Australian folklore.
