Visit Tasmania’s largest landscaped native garden featuring 22 acres of colourful gardens and views over North West Bay. You’ll learn about the advantages of native gardens and how native plants are perfectly adapted to the environment being water wise, low maintenance and requiring little in the way of fertilisers or other chemicals. There's nothing dull about natives, either. There are plants in bloom twelve months of the year. Breath in the beautiful scents of essential oils that the sun releases from the leaves and the distinctive, pleasantly understated perfume of the blooms. Enjoy morning tea after exploring the gardens.
Next you will head to local winery, Hartzview Wines. Hear about the history of the property including a heritage pickers hut village and then sample the delicious table wines, ports and liqueurs. Yum!
