Enjoy a fully guided cruise of the historic and magnificent sheltered waterways of the Derwent River and D’Entrecasteaux Channel on the way past Bruny Island to Peppermint Bay. You will enjoy a real connection with the Tasmanian lifestyle, history and wildlife as you take in the magnificent scenery with sea eagles and sun-baking seals before enjoying a delicious lunch ashore at Peppermint Bay.
As you cruise along you will be able to explore the giant kelp forests and marine life via the vessel’s underwater cameras that will project the images directly onto the flat screen plasma televisions. Look out for playful dolphins, floating fish farms, sea gardens, crayfish, weedy sea dragons and puffer-fish. On arrival at Peppermint Bay, you will have some free time to go ashore and explore at your leisure, perhaps shopping for local produce in the Providore, enjoying a drink at the Terrace Bar whilst admiring the views of Bruny Island, or browsing in the local Art Gallery.
Bring your camera to take photos on the local sealife, scenery and Peppermint Bay.
Enjoy a gourmet lunch platter at The Peppermint Bay Restaurant.
To make your day as enjoyable as possible, please ensure that you wear comfortable flat-soled shoes, clothing suited to the weather conditions, a hat and jacket and bring along some sunscreen and bottled water.
Please note: the Peppermint Bay cruise departure area is approximately a 15 minute walk around the wharf from where the cruise ship docks. Passengers must be able to comfortably walk this distance in order to make their cruise departure time.
