Your vessel will tie up alongside the Agincourt Reef pontoon, where corals of brilliant colour and intricate design live in the sheltered waters and brightly hued tropical fish dart about the delicate corals. Snorkel, swim, or view the spectacular coral and fish from the underwater observatory theatre. Ride on a semi-submersible to view the spectacular reef gardens through glass-panelled windows. The pontoon provides shelter from the sun and a resting place between snorkelling and swimming.
Due to the nature of this tour, consider purchasing a waterproof disposable camera from the ship's photo gallery or gift shop.
During the cruise out to the pontoon, morning tea will be served while resident marine biologists give commentary on fascinating reef information; a video presentation on its creation will also play. A smorgasbord lunch will be provided onboard the catama
Snorkel equipment is included. Stinger suits can be hired onboard at an additional cost for those wishing to swim or snorkel.
To make your day as enjoyable as possible, please ensure that you wear comfortable flat-soled shoes, clothing suited to the weather conditions, a hat, swimwear and towel, SPF30+ or higher factor sunscreen and bottled water and money for drinks and souvenirs
The cruise between Port Douglas and the outer reef takes approximately 90 minutes each way. Passengers prone to seasickness should take the necessary precautions, as this trip can be rough.
