Billabong Sanctuary & Scenic Sights

Expereince the magificent scenery of Townsville and the surrounding areas from Catle Hill, a large granite rise that dominates the cityscape. Now is your opportunity to view and interact with the very best of Australian wildlife at Billabong Sanctuary. Watch crocodiles being hand-fed and witness these hungry monsters lunge for their food. On a gentler note, the sanctuary also has kangaroos roaming the park freely, which you may pat and feed as you tour the sanctuary. There is plenty more Australian wildlife too; pat a koala, hug a wombat and wrap yourself in a python if you wish. The show also includes a feeding of the abundant birdlife on the billabong, as well as giant eels. There’s even a swimming pool for you to cool off in. Don’t worry – it’s not the one with the crocodiles! Experience a light morning tea and a wonderful few hours at this fascinating wildlife sanctuary.
