Enjoy a relaxed guided river kayak tour through the Waitangi Estuary and mangrove forest. Paddle up the river to Haruru Falls where you can test your kayak skills by paddling under the waterfall or just relax and enjoy refreshments on the beach. The experienced and friendly guides will ensure you are comfortable during your paddle and will regale you with local legends and information about the area. All gear is provided as well as a light snack. Make sure to bring your camera so the guides can document your paddling!

To make your day as enjoyable as possible, please ensure that you wear comfortable flat-soled shoes, clothing suited to the weather conditions, a hat, SPF30+ or higher factor sunscreen and bottled water. No prior kayaking experience is required – this tour is suitable to all ages and all levels of experience. Safety briefing and basic paddling instructions will be provided upon arrival to the departure site located a short walk from Waitangi pier. This tour commences with short walk to Waitangi beach where you will meet your guides and receive instructions in basic paddling techniques. Small children will go on a double kayak with the adult they are travelling with Weight limit of 125 kgs applies for this tour
