Natures Wonders Naturally

Spend your day on the spectacular Otago Peninsula on the Reid family farm. View the New Zealand fur seals and spotted shags. After meeting your guide, run through safety procedures and then travel on an exhilarating cross country tour on an eight wheel drive, all-terrain Argo vehicle. First stop is at the mythical Maori’s Footprint, which offers panoramic views over the Otago Peninsula. Descending from 189 metres above sea level, you’ll be able to view a breeding colony of cormorants nestled on a rugged cliff face rising from the crashing Pacific Ocean below. Continuing on, you’ll arrive at a hide where you can participate in a very close encounter with a breeding colony of New Zealand fur seals. From here a beach-front ride takes you to a covered, all-weather track leading down to a purpose-built hide on Penguin Beach to hopefully view little blue penguins in their nests. There are no restrictions on this tour and any age and mobility will have a terrific time.
