Join us travelling through the Picton Hills to the fertile plains, and intricate waterways of the Wairau Valley to the World Renowned Omaka Aviation Heritage. World War One aircraft scenes are brought to life by Weta Workshops. Human stories from the Great War come to life in a theatrical treatment, which is innovative and visually stunning. Your next visit is to a local micro-brewery. Founded by Josh Scott, Moa Brewery specializes in craft-brewed ales in champagne style; rounded off through the use of winemaking techniques, like bottle ageing and bottle fermentation. The name Moa (New Zealand’s extinct giant dinosaur bird) also derives from the region, as in the early days Josh hand delivered brews to archaeologists working at a Moa bone dig near the brewery. Enjoy a tasting of Moa’s fine brews. Your final visit will be to the Makana Boutique Chocolate Factory where you will be offered a tempting taste of what Makana has to offer, and be able to watch them at work creating their indulgent treats.
Great pictures to be captured at Omaka Aviation Heritage and the World War One aircraft scenes are brought to life by Weta Workshops.
