20 Min Scenic Heli flight

Milne Bay Province is arguably one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Pristine waters edged with coral reefs meet the shoreline which rises abruptly into jungle covered mountains. Milne Bay is also an important historical site. It was here during World War 2 that Allied troops defeated Japanese land forces halting their advance through the Pacific. Take the opportunity to explore and experience this incredible landscape by helicopter in Air-conditioned comfort. Take a 20 minute scenic helicopter flight to view the highlights of this beautiful province. After a safety briefing fly along the coastline for stunning views over the pristine waters. Pass over coconut plantations and village huts. View the location where the Japanese Special Naval Landing Force came ashore. At low tide some of the landing barges are still visible. You may also see pods of dolphins playing in the warm waters. You will have a good view over the Alotau township and harbour with its fishing boats and canoes, the main market and Memorial. Soar past the rainforest nestled in the foothills catching glimpses of mountain streams, waterfalls and pristine, unspoilt wilderness. Heading back towards Alotau you'll have a great view of the ship as you approach the pier.
