Uncover the Magic of Madang! Depart the pier by mini bus passing by the small town center of Madang before arriving at the Madang Visitors and Cultural Center. Jump on out and discover the excellent collection of art from the Madang Province as well as the Sepik River and Trobriand Islands areas. Next, pass by the lush rainforest areas, before arriving at Bilbil Village, famous for the earthenware pots they make. Today you will have the chance to see a lump of clay being transformed into a pot. Next, stop at the Mildas Market, where you will find tropical garden produces like banana, taro, pawpaw and handicrafts like woven string bags (or Bilums) and baskets of variety of colours on sale. Reboard your minibus as your journey continues with breathtaking views of the ocean against the dark blue mountains of the Finisterre Range. A brief photo stop will be made at the Coastwatchers monument before returning to your ship.
