Leave your card at home
Welcome to cashless cruising! All onboard expenses are charged to your personalised cruise card, allowing you to sign for all your onboard purchases. Your cruise card also acts as your room key plus security pass to leave and re-board the ship at ports of call. You can charge all onboard expenses to your Cruise Card by linking your credit / debit card to your Cruise Card (Visa, MasterCard and American Express accepted) and/or depositing cash or a bank transfer to your Cruise Card using the Cash Kiosks or at Reception.
Please note that the currency used onboard is Australian dollars (AU$). Pre-paid cards, such as ‘Load&Go Visa’ and Travelex cash passports are not accepted onboard.
We take all the stress out of paying your bill with cashless cruising. You can register your credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express) or debit card (Visa or MasterCard) when you check-in at the terminal. Debit cards may act as a credit card, while using the available funds in your bank account. A 1.5% service fee applies to all onboard credit card transactions (debit cards not included). By electing to use your credit or debit cards, you are automatically registered for Express Check-Out. This means there is no need to visit Reception to settle your account. An itemised statement will be delivered to your room on the morning of disembarkation.
If you link your credit or debit card to your Cruise Card, we obtain pre-authorisations from your bank for the amounts spent on each day of your cruise. A pre-authorisation is a temporary hold of a specific amount of the available balance on a credit or debit card. The pre-authorisation is not a charge and no funds have been debited from your account, although they may appear like a charge on your bank account or statement.
Upon disembarkation, the final amount on your onboard account will be charged to your credit / debit card in full. These funds can be released back to your account within 7-10 days, but may take up to 30 days. If you require an urgent release, please contact your bank.
To help speed up this process, you should advise your card issuer prior to departure.
Service fees apply to all onboard credit cards: Visa / MasterCard transactions 1.1%, American Express 2.3%, There is no fee for debit card transactions. Service fees are subject to change and will be advised onboard.

If you do not have a credit or debit card, you can deposit cash (AU$) into your onboard account. This can be done at Reception within the first 24 hours of your cruise. Your account must remain in credit during the cruise and all onboard accounts must be settled before you leave the ship.
Onboard Spending Money (Onboard credit)
If you booked on an offer that included onboard spending money, this will be a monetary amount in Australian dollars added to your onboard account. Any unused amount will expire at the end of your cruise, and is not redeemable for cash at any time.
If you added onboard spending money to your onboard account, any unused amount will be refunded.
Onboard credit cannot be used at the casino or for medical centre charges.
We've got your back
It's not the end of the world if your cruise card is lost or stolen. Report it to reception immediately we'll cancel your old card and issue you a brand new one. An important thing to note, until you report your card as lost or stolen, you're responsible for any transactions made on your card.
